Dublin Coffman Shamrocks Varsity couldn’t keep up with Charlotte and fell 8-1 on Thursday.
Dublin Coffman Shamrocks Varsity took an early lead in the first inning.
In the bottom of the third inning, Charlotte tied things up at one. Charlotte scored one run when Shane LeMaster tripled with two outs in the third inning.
Charlotte took the lead for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Justin Hinchy singled off of Cal Haefke, driving in one run and Ramon Koontz laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run.
Charlotte scored four runs in the fifth inning. Charlotte’s big inning was driven by a home run by Kevin Cemway and a passed ball.
Zane Saunders earned the win for Charlotte. He went six innings, allowing one run, three hits, and striking out seven. Haefke took the loss for Dublin Coffman Shamrocks Varsity. He pitched four innings, allowing four runs, five hits, striking out one, and walking zero.
Canyon Caldwell, Haefke, and Matt Ilcin each collected one hit to lead Dublin Coffman Shamrocks Varsity.

An early lead helped Dublin Coffman Shamrocks Varsity defeat Lemon Bay 14-8 on Wednesday. Dublin Coffman Shamrocks Varsity scored on a single in the first inning, a single by Conor Sheridan in the first inning, and a stolen base in the first inning.
Both offenses were strong at the plate as Dublin Coffman Shamrocks Varsity collected 11 hits and Lemon Bay 12

Blake Baldridge earned the win for Dublin Coffman Shamrocks Varsity. He pitched five and a third innings, giving up seven runs, ten hits, and striking out four. Mike Matthews threw one and one-third innings, as three relievers helped Dublin Coffman Shamrocks Varsity finish off the victory. Brandon Gielow took the loss for Lemon Bay. He tossed three and two-thirds innings, surrendering six runs, five hits, and striking out seven.
Marcus Ernst, Werth, Matt Ilcin, and Conor Sheridan each collected multiple hits for Dublin Coffman Shamrocks Varsity. Sheridan, Ilcin, Werth, and Ernst all had two hits to lead Dublin Coffman Shamrocks Varsity.
Rincones and Tyler Kreissler each collected multiple hits for Lemon Bay. Rincones went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Lemon Bay in hits.
