The Rocks had a very successful state meet. The girls finished 3rd as a team for the third year in a row. Abby Steiner repeated as state champion in the 100 dash (where she tied the state record of 11.59 seconds) and as champion in the 200 dash (where she broke the state record, running a 23.56) for the third year in a row. Abby teams with Simone Rivard-Roberts, Wambui Watene, and Isabelle Angerman in the 4×200 relay to win that race for the second year in a row. Wambui added a second place in the 300 meter hurdles and Isabelle was eighth place. The girls 4×400 was unable to advance from the prelims despite personal best performances from Jennifer Schulze and Gabby McCloy. On the boys side, the 4×800 relay of Lucas Bons, Ryan Bosworth, Arnaldo Gonzalez-Calero and Alex Dediu finished 15th place. In the high jump Derek Van Vlereh equalled his personal best jump of 6′ 2″ to get 11th place. Lucas Bons had the highlight performance for the boys, with a blistering 4:09.91 1600 run, taking 3rd place in the fastest field in state meet history.
